INTRODUCING, Jewels of the moment

LIZ RAMOS ANDERSON

I’m not a big fashion, or trend follower, but I have always LOVED jewelry.

Over the last couple years, I have become fascinated by jewelry from Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco periods. Mostly because I’m addicted to watching British period pieces.

I also love Anna Wintour’s signature look of three collet style necklaces.

Always autodidactic, I ordered books and watched hours of tutorials on jewelry making.

I have been collecting art deco and vintage costume jewelry brooches for years. I started by incorporating some of those pieces into necklaces.

Then one inspiration led to another, and I started creating prolifically using my home studio.

I love the process of jewelry making. It’s been a learning curve ordering the crystals, stones and settings from various global manufacturers. To make the kind of jewelry I would be proud to wear and sell, I use only the best crystals by Swarovski, and Preciosa, and all my setting and chains are nickel free, hypo allergenic, and made from brass metals then dipped in silver, or gold plating.

My materials are equal in standards to most high-end costume jewelry sold online or at department stores.

I have sold a few pieces privately, and last month I had my first show at a charity event. Success!

Like my art, I would love to sell to friends and hopefully word of mouth will bring me more business. Not being a social media person, I do realize what a huge disadvantage it is in a highly competitive market.

Like my art, jewelry design is a labor of love. If I focus primarily on commerce, my joy of creating is diminished.

I will also be doing custom pieces. My goal is to provide people with unique lovely pieces that won’t break the bank.

My philosophy on all things creative is to keep being authentic and love the work. If the pleasure goes away, move on. I don’t overthink it. I surrender to the process and let everything unfold, and embrace it all with love.

My prices are as follows:

Earrings range from $25.00 - $80.00

Bracelets from $35.00 - $85.00

Necklaces from $50.00 - $225.00

*Custom pieces may be higher, but if you order in volume, I will be happy to discount.
